An experience to discover the full potential of the vineyards and the most special wines from the Arizcuren project – and at the same time, a great opportunity to visit a winery located in the historic centre of the city. This experience revives the long-lost tradition of winemaking in the heart of Logroño, a practice dating back to the Middle Ages that had disappeared for centuries.
It begins with an introduction to the project and its viticulture in the historic vineyards of Eastern Rioja, highlighting the native grape varieties traditionally grown in our region. It also offers insight into the culture of detail in the world of wine – small plots cultivated using traditional knowledge passed down through generations.
We will then take a tour of the winery, exploring the production and ageing rooms of this urban winery, where we will see how the wines are crafted and matured in barrels, amphorae, and concrete vats within such a unique setting.
We will taste four wines that are part of the Arizcuren project – wines that, collectively, feature on the wine lists of over 30 Michelin-starred restaurants. The tasting will be accompanied by our own organically produced olive oil and wood-fired bread.
